What does FreshNews AI actually do?
It makes your product content good enough for AI search engines to understand and recommend, and — on the Pro plan — it tracks whether AI engines actually cite your store. It audits your catalog for an AI-readiness score, then generates fact-dense descriptions, buyer-question FAQs, and structured data (JSON-LD) from your real product data, which you review before anything is applied.
Isn't my store already sent to AI automatically? Why do I need this?
Your products may be syndicated to AI platforms automatically — but getting sent to AI isn't the same as getting picked by it. AI engines skip products with thin, vague, or unstructured descriptions. FreshNews AI makes your product data rich and structured enough to actually get recommended, and shows you whether it's working. We complement the automatic syndication; we don't replace it.
Will AI start recommending my store right away?
Not immediately. AI engines cite stores based on both content quality and real-world web presence that builds over time, so a new or recently-optimized store often starts at zero citations — that's normal. FreshNews AI gets your content ready and shows you exactly which buyer queries to target, so you know where you stand and what to work toward as your store's visibility grows.
Does the app make up product details?
Never. Everything we generate comes from your real product data — we don't invent specs, materials, or claims. If a product doesn't have enough detail, we ask you for the facts instead of making them up. You review every draft before it's applied; nothing is written without your approval.
Which AI engines do you monitor?
Citation monitoring currently tracks Perplexity, with ChatGPT and Gemini rolling out. We only report on engines we actually monitor — we don't claim coverage we can't deliver.
What happens to my content if I uninstall?
The content written to your product fields — descriptions, meta titles, image alt text — stays with you; it's your product data. The structured data (schema) and FAQ content rendered by the app on your storefront are removed when you uninstall, since the app renders those.
Do I have to write the content myself?
No. The app generates the descriptions, FAQs, and structured data for you from your existing product data. Your job is to review and approve each draft before it goes live — you stay in control, without writing from scratch.
What's the difference between the free and paid plans?
The free audit scores your catalog's AI readiness and shows what's missing. Paid plans add unlimited content generation, fixes, and autopilot for new and updated products. The Pro plan adds AI citation monitoring — tracking whether AI engines recommend your store for real buyer queries.
